Origin and world of the character
Glitchtrap (also known as Malhare or The Anomaly) is a major antagonist and malevolent digital entity from the independent horror video game franchise Five Nights at Freddy's, emerging as the central figure in the virtual reality opus Help Wanted and its sequel Help Wanted 2. Unlike the traditional physical animatronics of the series, Glitchtrap manifests as an anthropomorphic rabbit costume made of yellowed and patched fabric, wearing a purple waistcoat with stars and a bow tie. He is in fact a digital replication or software manifestation of the spirit of serial killer William Afton, the co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment. Infiltrated in the form of malicious code into the circuit boards recovered by the developers to design the expansion's virtual experience, he seeks to manipulate the minds of players in order to possess their physical bodies and escape into the real world.- *
