Origin and world of the character
Frieren is the main protagonist of the manga and animated adaptation Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, created by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe. Set in a fantasy world, she is an elven mage of exceptional longevity who was one of the group of heroes who defeated the Demon King after a ten-year quest. The story explores her perception of time, which is very different from that of her human companions, and her journey undertaken after the death of her friend the paladin Himmel to better understand humanity and collect unusual magical spells. This thematic variation incorporates a wreath of flowers, echoing his interest in simple, poetic magic - such as that which creates a field of flowers - and his melancholy memories of the times he shared with his former travelling party.
