Garfield – Series 1 – 3D Foam Bag Clip Keyrings – Display pack of 24 mystery pouches

Featuring the famous lasagne-loving cat and several characters from his world, this display pack of 24 3D Foam Bag Clip Keyrings – Series 1 is designed by Monogram International. Each mystery pouch contains a randomly selected three-dimensional model, designed to be attached to a bag, pencil case, lanyard or set of keys.

The display pack contains 24 individual opaque pouches. The design inside each pouch can only be revealed once it has been opened. As the contents are randomly selected, multiple identical designs may be included, and one display pack does not necessarily guarantee that you will receive the entire collection.

This first series comprises 11 collectable designs: Jon Arbuckle, Garfield in his classic pose, Odie, Arlene, Nermal, Pooky, Garfield in his pyjamas with a cup of coffee, Garfield holding a heart-shaped balloon, Garfield smiling, as well as two rare variants featuring Garfield with Odie and Garfield accompanied by the licence logo.

Each figure takes the form of a stylised, raised-relief character, made from a soft, lightweight material. The figures measure approximately 5 to 6.5 cm in height, depending on the character, and feature a clip for easy attachment to various accessories.

The cardboard box can be opened to display the 24 pouches on a counter or in a retail space. Its dimensions are approximately 26 × 24 × 14.5 cm.

Background and character lore

Garfield is an orange cat who lives with his owner, Jon Arbuckle, and the dog Odie. Known for his lazy nature, his sarcasm and his huge appetite, he particularly enjoys lasagne, long naps and days when nobody asks him to make the slightest effort.

Garfield is often mocking towards Jon and Odie, but remains deeply attached to them. His behaviour is characterised by a constant contrast between his apparent indifference and the occasional displays of affection he shows towards those around him.

Jon Arbuckle is Garfield and Odie’s owner. Kind-hearted but clumsy, he regularly tries to instil a bit of discipline in his cat, usually with limited success. His romantic troubles and numerous blunders are also a recurring source of humour.

Odie is a yellow dog with long brown ears. Enthusiastic, affectionate and sometimes naive, he is frequently the butt of Garfield’s jokes. Despite their turbulent relationship, the two animals form an inseparable duo.

Arlene is a pink cat who shares a close bond with Garfield. She is often one of the few able to respond to his sarcastic remarks and challenge his self-centred behaviour.

Nermal, portrayed as a particularly cute kitten, enjoys reminding Garfield of his youth and his good looks. Garfield finds his taunts hard to bear and is constantly looking for a way to get rid of him.

Finally, Pooky is Garfield’s favourite teddy bear. Behind his cynical demeanour, Garfield is very protective of this companion, who brings out a softer, more affectionate side of his personality.
