A historic Mobile Suit piloted by the young hero Amuro Ray, the first Gundam is given a must-have vintage reissue as part of Bandai Hobby’s classic BB Senshi collection. The “Animation Colour” edition stands out in particular for its reworked colour palette, eschewing standard plastic colours in favour of slightly desaturated shades of blue and red and a pure white, meticulously replicated from the original anime cels.

This high-end model showcases retro simplicity and visual authenticity. The model benefits from excellent separation of the injection-moulded plastic parts in ‘Base White’ shades, eliminating the need for painting. A sheet of finishing decals is included in the box to perfect the mecha’s details, notably the black outlines around the optics and the crest on the front skirt. The little robot comes fully kitted out for combat with a complete elite arsenal: its laser rifle (Beam Rifle), its red and white protective shield bearing the yellow star (Shield) and its laser sabre (Beam Saber). As an exclusive bonus, the box also includes the ultra-powerful Hyper Bazooka cannon, allowing you to vary your display set-ups.

The building experience focuses on immediate mechanical enjoyment and nostalgia. No messy glue, no specialist tools required – all the precision parts slot together smoothly with a simple mechanical press thanks to Bandai’s Snap-fit technology. The parts detach cleanly from the sprues to provide crisp finishes. Once completed, this little robot, standing approximately 8 cm tall, surprises with its vintage look and makes the perfect decorative item or gift to display proudly on your desk alongside your manga.
