A historic Mobile Suit piloted by Amuro Ray during the One Year War, the famous RX-78-2 has been given a playful, dynamic and extremely clever stylistic reinvention through Bandai Hobby’s EX-Standard collection. Designed to modernise the traditional chibi style (oversized head and compact body), this range stands out with longer limbs and reworked joints, exuding a striking heroic presence whilst retaining its playful appearance as a small pocket-sized robot.

This model prioritises playability, colour and ergonomics. It is fully pre-coloured, with excellent separation of the injection-moulded plastic parts in the official ‘White Base’ colour scheme (matt white, royal blue, bright red and yellow). Colourful and detailed stickers are included in the box to perfect the mechanical finishes, particularly to outline the iconic yellow eyes and decorate the shield. The little robot comes ready for battle with its full set of iconic equipment: its laser rifle (Beam Rifle), its red and white heavy shield bearing the yellow star (Shield) and its combat sabre (Beam Saber). The ultimate and exclusive highlight of the EX-Standard range? The included weapons and shield feature standard, removable connectors. They can be combined to create massive, original customised weaponry, fully compatible with your 1/144 High Grade scale models (sold separately).

The assembly experience is all about pure enjoyment, speed and absolute simplicity. No messy glue, no specialist tools required – all the high-precision parts snap together smoothly with a simple mechanical press thanks to Bandai’s Snap-fit technology. The parts detach cleanly from the sprues to provide crisp finishes.
