Origin and background of the character
It is in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets that we first encounter these creatures. Gilderoy Lockhart, then Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts, makes the mistake of releasing a whole cageful of them in class. Neville Longbottom pays the price dearly, as these rascals attack him, lifting him up by his ears and tying him directly to the chandelier on the ceiling. The lesson immediately turns into a complete disaster before Hermione Granger puts an end to it with a Stunning Spell (Immobilis). A little anecdote for enthusiasts: Cornish pixies are described as wingless in the book *Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them*, yet they appear on screen with translucent wings. This magnificent diorama, created by The Noble Collection, perfectly captures the mischievous spirit of these blue imps. The three-dimensional display depicts two goblins bustling about amidst open spellbooks, overturned vials and spilling ink, recreating the chaos of the classroom. The fine sculpting of their large pointed ears, their slender, electric-blue bodies and the mischievous sparkle in their eyes lend a striking sense of realism. The removable illustrated background integrated into the transparent display case enhances the depth of the scene. An absolutely exceptional choice to bring a festive and boisterous touch to the heart of your display case.
