James Potter, also known by his Marauder pseudonym ‘Prongs’, was the father of Harry Potter and the husband of Lily Evans. During his school years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he distinguished himself as one of the most popular and brilliant students in his year alongside his best friend Sirius Black, whilst also standing out for his excellent athletic skills on the Quidditch pitch. A wizard of exceptional courage and a founding member of the first generation of the Order of the Phoenix, he heroically sacrificed his life to protect his family and was killed by Lord Voldemort on 31 October 1981 at their home in Godric’s Hollow.
