The famous virtual singer Hatsune Miku joins the PLAMATEA collection with this articulated model kit to assemble. This model recreates her classic look in a colourful and dynamic style, complete with her long turquoise pigtails, futuristic outfit and iconic accessories.

Once assembled, the figurine stands approximately 15 cm tall. Its numerous points of articulation allow you to recreate various dance, singing or concert poses, whilst retaining the character’s instantly recognisable silhouette.

The kit includes a pre-painted smiling face as well as three additional faces — smiling, open-mouthed and a chibi version — which can be customised using the included decals. Several interchangeable hands also allow you to vary her body language and poses.

Hatsune Miku comes with a microphone and an alternative tie designed for dynamic poses. The various parts are moulded in a range of colours, whilst some elements are pre-painted to ensure a detailed finish as soon as assembly is complete. Stickers and decals are provided to complete her distinctive markings.

An articulated stand is included to hold the figure in dynamic poses.

Character’s origin and backstory (Lore)

Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer developed by the Japanese company Crypton Future Media. Originally, she was the character associated with voice synthesis software that allowed users to create songs by entering lyrics and a melody. Her voice bank is based on recordings by the Japanese actress Saki Fujita.

Her name can be interpreted as ‘the first sound from the future’. Her official profile describes her as a 16-year-old virtual singer, standing 158 cm tall, specialising in particular in J-pop and dance-pop styles.

Following the release of her software, Hatsune Miku quickly became much more than just a mascot. Creators from around the world have used her voice and appearance to produce songs, illustrations, music videos and numerous collaborative works. She subsequently established herself as a genuine virtual artist, appearing in video games, merchandise and concerts using digital projection.

Hatsune Miku is one of the Piapro Characters, alongside Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO and KAITO. Unlike a character from a single narrative, she does not have a fixed official backstory: her identity evolves in line with the musical and artistic creations devised by her community.
