Character’s origin and universe

Hunter x Hunter is a manga by Yoshihiro Togashi that has been adapted into an anime, following characters aspiring to become Hunters – elite adventurers capable of exploring uncharted territories, searching for treasure, tracking down criminals or studying rare creatures.

Killua Zoldyck is one of the series’ main characters. Born into the famous Zoldyck family of assassins, he was raised from childhood to become a professional killer. However, he chooses to turn his back on this imposed destiny and takes part in the Hunter Exam, where he meets Gon Freecss.

His intelligence, agility, speed and composure in dangerous situations make him a formidable ally. Behind his aloof and sometimes insolent demeanour, Killua harbours a strong desire for freedom and a deep friendship with Gon, which will play a central role in his development.
