Origin and role of the item

In JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, the Bow and Arrows are mysterious artefacts capable of summoning a Stand in a person possessing the necessary potential. However, an incompatible person may die after being pierced by them.

The item is introduced as a major plot element in Diamond is Unbreakable. In Morioh, several characters use the Arrow to create new Stand users, triggering a series of strange phenomena and confrontations centred on Josuke Higashikata and his allies.

The Bow and Arrow are notably linked to Keicho Nijimura, and later to Yoshihiro Kira, who uses them to find new allies capable of protecting his son, Yoshikage Kira. The search for the artefact thus becomes one of the main driving forces behind the plot of Part 4.
