Origin and universe of the characters

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run takes place in a separate timeline from the first six parts. The story is set in the United States in the late 19th century, during a transcontinental horse race linking San Diego to New York.

Johnny Joestar is a former jockey of genius who became paraplegic after being shot. Disillusioned and isolated, he finds new hope when he discovers the Rotation technique mastered by Gyro Zeppeli.

Convinced that this technique could enable him to regain the use of his legs, Johnny enters the Steel Ball Run and accompanies Gyro on his journey. His personal development and his gradual mastery of the Stand Tusk take centre stage in the story.

Slow Dancer is Johnny’s horse during the race. Described as a calm and experienced mount, he enables the protagonist to take part in the event despite his disability. The bond between rider and horse becomes essential as the stages and confrontations unfold.

This figurine depicts Johnny back in the saddle, focused on his goal and accompanied by Slow Dancer in a scene that directly evokes the intensity of the competition.
