JUJUTSU KAISEN – Choso “Supernova” – Luminasta 18 cm figurine
See Choso in an impressive depiction of his blood technique with this Luminasta “Supernova” figurine inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen.
Produced by SEGA Goods, this figurine depicts Choso in the thick of battle, surrounded by a spectacular compressed blood effect. The composition captures the full danger of his Blood Manipulation, a technique that allows him to control his own blood with formidable precision.
The Luminasta range focuses on dynamic poses and sculpted effects designed to give the characters greater sense of movement. This version of Choso makes particularly good use of this approach: SEGA has carefully crafted the effect to recreate the moment when the blood compresses and then bursts around him.

Origin and character lore
Choso is one of the Death Painting Wombs, or Cursed Womb: Death Paintings, a series of nine cursed objects resulting from experiments combining humans and curses.
He is the first of the nine Death Paintings to have been brought to life. The official Jujutsu Kaisen website confirms that he was born from the manifestation of the first of the cursed objects in this series.
Choso is deeply attached to his brothers, particularly Eso and Kechizu. When they are killed by Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki, Choso holds Yuji responsible for their deaths and seeks revenge.
This quest for revenge leads to one of the major confrontations of the Shibuya Incident, when Choso directly confronts Yuji.
Choso has mastered the hereditary technique known as Blood Manipulation, which allows him to control his blood and alter its properties in order to use it for both offensive and defensive purposes. The official anime confirms that, after around 150 years spent perfecting his technique, Choso has become a particularly skilled practitioner of this ability.
His arsenal includes various applications of Blood Manipulation, based on the compression, acceleration and projection of blood. The design of this Luminasta figure draws specifically on this aspect: SEGA depicts the blood highly compressed just as it bursts out around Choso.
But Choso’s journey takes an unexpected turn following his clash with Yuji. He eventually comes to feel that Yuji is also his brother, which completely upends his position in the conflict. The official profile confirms that, after Shibuya, Choso stops pursuing Yuji and instead begins to act alongside him.
His family ties then become his main driving force. An official interview dedicated to the Culling Game highlights just how much Choso regards his role as an older brother as a fundamental responsibility and constantly seeks to protect Yuji.
This development profoundly transforms the character: from an enemy driven by vengeance, Choso gradually becomes an ally determined to defend the one he now recognises as his younger brother.
This Luminasta “Supernova” figurine thus highlights one of Choso’s most impressive qualities: a fighter who has mastered Blood Manipulation to an exceptional degree, capable of transforming his own blood into a weapon that is as precise as it is spectacular.
