Choso is a major character from the dark fantasy manga and animated adaptation Jujutsu Kaisen, created by mangaka Gege Akutami. Historically, he is the eldest and most powerful of the nine Cursed Womb: Death Paintings, cursed artefacts created over a century ago by the sinister sorcerer Noritoshi Kamo. Choso is a hybrid being born of the forced union of a human and a cursed spirit line. Freed from his seal in the modern era, he is deeply and viscerally devoted to protecting his younger brothers, Eso and Kechizu. In combat, he rigorously employs a hereditary occult technique of colossal power called "Blood Manipulation", enabling him to control the shape, density and circulation of his own blood to pierce or cut his opponents from a distance. His psychological trajectory changes drastically during the major confrontations of the Shibuya Drama when he discovers his true family ties.
