Origin and background of the licence (Lore)

The Book of Boba Fett is a Star Wars series centred on Boba Fett, one of the saga’s most famous bounty hunters. The story takes place after the events of Return of the Jedi and directly continues certain storylines introduced in The Mandalorian.

Having survived the Sarlacc, Boba Fett returns to Tatooine and decides to take control of Jabba the Hutt’s former criminal territory. Alongside Fennec Shand, he seeks to establish a new way of ruling, based more on respect than on fear.

The series also explores Boba Fett’s past, his relationship with the Tusken Raiders and his personal development after years spent as a bounty hunter. It thus allows for the development of a character who remained a mystery throughout the original films.
