Carnor Jax is a major character from the former Star Wars Legends continuity, best known for his role in the Crimson Empire comics.
A former member of the Imperial Royal Guard, he is one of the most formidable fighters trained to protect Emperor Palpatine. Following the fall of the Empire and Palpatine’s disappearance, Jax seeks to assume a dominant position within the power vacuum left by the Empire’s collapse.
He thus becomes one of the main adversaries of Kir Kanos, another former Imperial Guard who remained loyal to the Emperor. Their rivalry lies at the heart of *Crimson Empire* and pits two very different visions of loyalty, ambition and the Imperial legacy against one another.
With his red armour, his status as a former Royal Guard and his central role in the Legends universe, Carnor Jax has become a cult figure amongst fans of the original Star Wars continuity. This POP! No. 863 pays tribute to him in a format particularly suited to collectors of rarer characters from the saga.
