Origin and character background (Lore)

Vardant is one of the Machina from *Linebarrels of Iron*, a manga created by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi. In this universe, the Machina are extremely advanced combat machines, linked to pilots known as Factors.

Vardant is primarily associated with Reiji Moritsugu, one of JUDA’s most experienced combatants. Unlike several of the series’ more impulsive pilots, Moritsugu stands out for his composure, discipline and immense mastery of combat.

Vardant’s design perfectly reflects this approach: its swift, razor-sharp silhouette is designed for high-mobility engagements, with a strong specialisation in close-quarters combat and precision strikes.

Thanks to its sombre aesthetic, formidable effectiveness and association with Reiji Moritsugu, the Vardant has become one of the most recognisable mechas in *Linebarrels of Iron* and a particularly interesting subject for reproduction as an articulated model kit.
