Jujutsu Kaisen is a shōnen manga by Gege Akutami published since March 2018 by the publisher Shūeisha. Regarding the French version, it is published by Ki-oon and the total circulation amounted to more than 60 million copies in December 202. This makes Jujutsu Kaizen one of the best-selling manga of that year. Moreover, it is the best-selling manga in Japan during the year 2021.

A sure success for this manga

The manga has become so popular, that it was not possible to stop at a literary work, so that an adaptation in an animated series produced by the studio Mappa will be broadcast between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021. The anime won the title of "Anime of the Year" at the Anime Awards 2021, crowning Gege Akutami's work with even more success. And even though the series had several breaks due to health problems of its author, this did not prevent the manga, published in French, from becoming the best launch of the publishing house in 2020, even going so far as to pass the popular shōnen, My Hero Academia, with 275,000 copies sold in the year of its launch!
