When you think of Jurassic Park, you obviously think of the series of films in which dinosaurs come back to life. It has been almost 30 years since the saga began. The first Jurassic Park was released in 1993 and became the highest grossing film in history (until Titanic came out). Since then, 5 other films have been released to complete the myth. Jurassic Park (1993)
Directed by Steven Spielberg, the first Jurassic Park is undoubtedly one of the classics of our geek shop. Few know it but before being a movie, Jurassic Park was first a book. The story came straight from the imagination of science fiction author Michael Chrichton. Spielberg and Chrichton worked closely together to adapt the script before Universal bought the rights for $2 million.
The final project features billionaire John Hammond, who, surrounded by scientists, manages to clone dinosaurs using the technique of DNA extraction. This incredible discovery leads to the creation of a theme park populated by ferocious creatures on Isla Nublar, an island off the coast of Costa Rica. Before the opening, Hammond takes Alan and Ellie, two experienced palaeontologists, on a tour of the complex to get their approval for the project. But during their visit, the security system breaks down and the famous T-Rex and other dinosaurs escape...
