Following a tragic event involving the destruction of her town by the most powerful of the Witches, Walpurgis Night, Homura makes a wish to meet Madoka again and to be able to protect her. This mystical vow grants her a shield capable of manipulating and reversing time, condemning her to relive the same month of her life indefinitely across multiple timelines.
