Bring together the worlds of Marvel and Magic: The Gathering with this articulated Agent Anti-Venom figure from Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Series. Inspired by Flash Thompson’s appearance in the Spider-Man comics, this special edition combines a richly detailed 15 cm figure with an exclusive, playable premium card from the Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man expansion.

Agent Anti-Venom wears a black and white suit that directly echoes his former Agent Venom armour. The large black spider emblem spans his chest, whilst the mask features large, dark eyes and a jaw with sharp teeth. Several black accents highlight the character’s shoulders, forearms, legs and tactical gear.

The figure features advanced articulation in the head, arms and legs. It can therefore be posed in various combat positions, such as wielding its weapons, firing its organic tendrils or battling another symbiote. Its premium design is intended to recreate the action scenes from the comics whilst offering a dynamic display in a showcase.

The set includes fourteen accessories, including four alternate hands, two combat effects, two smoke effects, Anti-Venom tendrils and an arsenal of weapons. The various elements can be combined to represent the character’s symbiotic abilities or his past as a specialist soldier.

An exclusive premium Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man card is also included with the figure. This playable card allows Agent Anti-Venom to be incorporated into a Magic collection or deck, making this set a hybrid product aimed at both articulated figure enthusiasts and card collectors. Character background and universe (Lore)

Eugene ‘Flash’ Thompson originally appears as a classmate of Peter Parker and one of his main bullies. Ironically, he deeply admires Spider-Man without realising that the masked hero is in fact Peter himself. Over time, Flash sheds much of his aggressive behaviour and becomes a close ally of the very person he once bullied.

After joining the army, Flash loses his legs in combat. The government then offers him the chance to temporarily fuse with the Venom symbiote as part of a military programme. Equipped with prosthetic limbs and a tactical arsenal generated by the symbiote, he adopts the identity of Agent Venom and carries out various missions for the government, the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

After being separated from Venom, Flash comes into contact with an Anti-Venom substance. This fuses with the remnants of the symbiote present in his body and transforms him into Agent Anti-Venom. His new white suit retains the tactical appearance of Agent Venom, but grants him anti-symbiote abilities and the power of healing through touch.

Agent Anti-Venom plays a particularly important role in the fight against Maniac, an entity capable of controlling multiple hosts, and later during the invasion by the Poisons, cosmic creatures specialising in hunting symbiotes. His abilities allow him to neutralise or purify symbiotic organisms, but intensive use of his healing power can also weaken him.

This figure combines both facets of the character. The weapons and tactical equipment are a nod to his military career as Agent Venom, whilst the white tendrils, organic effects and inverted suit represent his transformation into Agent Anti-Venom. The included Magic card extends this fusion of science fiction, superheroes and strategy gaming.
