Character background and universe (Lore)
Frank Schlichting, known by the alias Constrictor, is a career criminal and a formidable mercenary in the Marvel universe. A former agent of the Lucciola criminal organisation, he has built a formidable reputation as a hitman thanks to his unique cybernetic implants. His main weapon consists of two long, extendable adamantium cables attached to his wrists, capable of conducting electricity and exerting lethal pressure on his targets.This retro edition is inspired by his forced participation in the Secret Wars story arc. Propelled onto the planet Battleworld by the Beyonder, an omnipotent entity from another universe, Constrictor finds himself forced to take part in a tournament to the death pitting Earth’s greatest heroes and villains against one another. Although he is a pragmatic lone wolf driven primarily by money, he chooses to put his impressive coils and fighting skills at the service of Doctor Doom’s Machiavellian schemes in order to ensure his survival amidst this cosmic chaos.
