Origin and world of the character
Solid Snake (real name David) is the central protagonist of the Metal Gear franchise of tactical infiltration video games, created by Hideo Kojima and developed by Konami. A former member of the FOXHOUND special forces unit, he is a highly skilled spy and elite soldier, specialising in infiltration missions in hostile environments. Genetically, Snake is the result of the confidential scientific project "Les Enfants Terribles", designed using the DNA of the legendary soldier Big Boss, making him Liquid Snake's twin brother. During his iconic missions, including the Shadow Moses incident, he battles terrorist factions and repeatedly sabotages the "Metal Gear", a bipedal tank with nuclear strike capability.- *
