Narrative context and universe (Lore)

In theMy Hero Academia universe, Izuku Midoriya, also known by his hero name ‘Deku’, is the main protagonist of the series and a pupil in Class 1-A at U.A. High School. Born without any powers in a population where most people possess Quirks, his life takes a turn when he catches the attention of the number one hero, All Might, who chooses him to become the ninth holder of his inheritable power.

His Quirk, known as “One For All”, grants him increased physical strength, speed and agility, which he must learn to channel to avoid damaging his own body. The Maximatic range captures the character in the midst of a close-quarters attack, illustrating the phase where Deku adapts his fighting style by developing theShoot Style, a combat technique focused on using his legs to maximise his power whilst protecting his arms from injury.
