Origin and background of the character
Tomura Shigaraki (real name Tenko Shimura) is the main antagonist of the hit series My Hero Academia, the famous shōnen manga created by Kohei Horikoshi. Taken in and manipulated from a young age by the Machiavellian All For One, he takes the helm of the Villain Alliance with the obsessive aim of destroying the superhero society and annihilating their symbol, All Might. His destructive Quirk, known as ‘Decay’, allows him to reduce anything he touches to dust, on the strict condition that all five of his fingers are pressed against the target simultaneously. His sinister and sickly appearance, often accompanied by disembodied hands attached to his body, underscores this character’s psychological instability and extreme danger. Banpresto’s DXF collection applies all its expertise here to sculpt with precision every minute detail of his dark costume and the tortured expression in his eyes.
