Created by Masashi Kishimoto for the legendary Naruto manga, Zetsu is one of the most enigmatic and secretive antagonists in the ninja universe. Easily recognisable by his two-tone physical appearance and the gigantic carnivorous plant (similar to a Venus flytrap) that envelops his body, he acts as the chief spy for the Akatsuki organisation. Zetsu is in fact the union of two distinct entities: White Zetsu, born of the mutations caused by the past Infinite Tsukuyomi, and Black Zetsu, the physical manifestation of the will of the primordial goddess Kaguya Otsutsuki. Lurking in the shadows for centuries, he secretly orchestrates the greatest conflicts in history to fulfil his ultimate goal of resurrection.
