Meet Ame-chan, the heroine of NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE, with this Noodle Stopper figurine produced by FuRyu. Standing approximately 14 cm tall, this non-articulated figurine depicts the everyday appearance of the young girl behind the streamer OMGkawaiiAngel (KAngel). It therefore naturally complements the Noodle Stopper figurine dedicated to her virtual alter ego. 

Here, Ame-chan is depicted leaning forwards, with her forearms resting on the stand and her legs raised behind her. Her long, dark hair is tied back in a ponytail, her fringe partially concealing her face, and her reserved expression captures the key elements of her appearance. She wears a dark outfit embellished with white details reminiscent of small wings, paired with black socks and shoes with thick soles. This design favours an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, in direct contrast to KAngel’s very colourful appearance.

Like the other Noodle Stopper Figure releases, this figurine is designed to rest on the edge of a display stand.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Ame-chan is the central character in NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE. In the story, she aims to become a top streamer with the support of ‘P’, a character with whom the player interacts. The original concept takes the form of a multi-path adventure spanning 30 days, during which her online activities, daily life and decisions directly influence the course of her journey. The original game was released on Steam in January 2022.

In her public online life, Ame-chan takes on the identity of OMGkawaiiAngel, also known as KAngel. The extremely colourful and optimistic appearance of this ‘Internet Angel’ constitutes a distinct streamer persona, very different from Ame-chan’s darker everyday persona. The anime’s official website confirms that Ame-chan works as OMGkawaiiAngel with the help of P, whilst both identities are portrayed by Sally Amaki in the animated adaptation.

This figurine specifically highlights Ame-chan rather than her avatar, KAngel. Her sombre colour scheme, hairstyle and more reserved demeanour thus create a direct counterpart to the Noodle Stopper OMGkawaiiAngel featured in the same FuRyu series. The two figurines serve to represent the character’s two central facets: the young woman in her everyday life and the carefully crafted image she presents to her online audience.
