Origin and background of the character
Monkey D. Dragon is the charismatic and mysterious leader of the Revolutionary Army, from the One Piece pirate universe created by manga artist Eiichiro Oda. Designated by the World Government as “the world’s most wanted criminal”, he wages a relentless global struggle to overthrow the tyranny of the Celestial Dragons and liberate oppressed peoples. Son of the legendary Navy Vice-Admiral Monkey D. Garp and biological father of Monkey D.
