Having consumed the Nomi Nomi no Mi (the Brain Fruit), Vegapunk possesses the ability to store an unlimited amount of knowledge, which has caused his skull to grow disproportionately over the decades. To overcome this physical limitation, he eventually severed his own brain so that it could be stored in a huge dome on Egghead Island, connecting his consciousness remotely via an apple-shaped antenna planted on his head.
