Character background and lore

Saint Gunko, also known as Manmayer Gunko, appears during theElbaf arc, one of the major arcs in the final saga of ONE PIECE.

She belongs to the mysterious Knights of God, an elite organisation directly linked to the highest echelons of the World Government. These fighters possess exceptional authority and abilities and play an increasingly significant role in the events surrounding Elbaf.

Gunko immediately stands out for her enigmatic appearance, her aloof demeanour and her extremely direct approach to confronting her opponents. Her design features long blue hair, a black outfit with particularly long sleeves, a cape and several visual elements that reinforce her unusual appearance.

She possesses the powers of the Aro Aro no Mi, or Arrow-Arrow Fruit, a Devil Fruit that allows her to generate and control structures in the form of bands ending in arrowheads. She can use these creations to immobilise her opponents, alter their trajectories, or enhance her close-quarters attacks.

This combination of her status as a Divine Knight, her mysterious nature and her highly original powers makes Gunko one of the most memorable characters introduced during the final saga.
