Character background and lore

Albedo is one of the central charactersin Overlord and serves as Chief Guardian of the Guardians of the floors of the Great Tomb of Nazarick.

Originally created in the MMORPG YGGDRASIL, she, like the other inhabitants of Nazarick, becomes a physical entity when the characterof Ainz Ooal Gown and the entire tomb are mysteriously transported to a new world.

Albedo belongs to a succubus-type demonic race and possesses an appearance that is as elegant as it is imposing. Her long black hair, white horns and dark wings contrast with her generally refined and perfectly controlled demeanour.

She is best known for her absolute loyalty to Ainz. This devotion goes far beyond mere hierarchical respect: Albedo harbours a passionate and often excessive love for him, regularly leading to situations far more comical than her official role would suggest.

As Chief Guardian, she oversees much of Nazarick’s organisation and coordinates the other Guardians when Ainz entrusts her with important missions. She also possesses excellent strategic and administrative skills.

Albedo is not, however, merely a leader. She is also an extremely powerful fighter, specialising in particular in defence. Her equipment and abilities enable her to withstand considerable attacks, making her one of Nazarick’s finest defences.

Her attitude towards those outside the tomb contrasts sharply with the tenderness she shows towards Ainz. Albedo regards most humans with contempt and can be particularly ruthless when she feels that Nazarick’s interests are under threat.

This BiCute Bunnies “Another Costume” version deliberately sets aside her Guardian appearance and armour to offer a lighter take on the character, whilst retaining the elegance, confidence and imposing presence that characterise Albedo.
