PIXAR - Collector Set

Bring together several of Pixar Studios’ greatest classics in a single box set with this collector’s set designed by Cerdá under official Disney licence. Presented in a black cube-shaped box adorned with the Pixar logo and various references to the studio’s films, this set brings together stationery, fashion and collectable items inspired by Toy Story, Cars, Ratatouille, Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, WALL-E and The Incredibles.

The box set contains two pairs of ankle socks: a black and red pair featuring the Incredibles logo, and a red pair dedicated to Lightning McQueen and his number 95. Two woven patches complete the textile selection, featuring the Rust-eze logo from Cars and the retro Pizza Planet sign from Toy Story.

The stationery section showcases *Ratatouille * and *WALL-E*. It includes a blue and white squared notebook decorated with Rémy in his chef’s uniform, a magnetic bookmark depicting the little chef against a backdrop of Paris, a WALL-E-shaped pencil sharpener and an eraser inspired by the little boot containing the plant protected by the robot.

Several accessories can be used or worn on a daily basis. The green sleep mask features Bob Razowski’s single eye, whilst the wooden door sign warns that a ‘little monster’ is sleeping. Two lanyards are included: an orange one featuring a Nemo pendant and a black one decorated with Pixar symbols. A pocket mirror featuring Nemo and Dory, a metal keyring from The Incredibles and two pins complete the set.

The box itself is part of the product’s presentation. Its hinged panels reveal various designs inspired by Mike Wazowski, WALL-E, Luxo Jr. and the Pixar ball, as well as the cloudy sky from Toy Story. Once closed, it can be kept as a decorative storage box to hold the set’s accessories or other small items.

Origin and backstory of the franchises (Lore)

Since *Toy Story*, the studio’s first feature film created entirely using computer-generated imagery, Pixar has developed a range of very different worlds united by themes such as friendship, family, self-discovery and looking beyond appearances.

Toy Story follows Andy’s toys, notably Woody and Buzz Lightyear, who come to life when humans aren’t looking. Pizza Planet, featured on one of the badges, is the space-themed restaurant where Woody and Buzz first meet the little green aliens.

In *Cars*, Lightning McQueen is an ambitious young racing car who learns to prioritise friendship and respect for his rivals. The number 95 and the Rust-eze logo featured in this set are a nod to his early racing days and his famous red livery.

Ratatouille tells the story of Rémy, a rat with an exceptional palate who dreams of becoming a chef in Paris. The notebook in the shape of a recipe book and the bookmark evoke his passion for gastronomy as well as his admiration for the chef Auguste Gusteau.

Monsters, Inc. introduces Bob Razowski and Jacques Sullivan, two employees of a company that powers Monstropolis using children’s screams. Their encounter with the young Boo turns their perception of the human world on its head and reveals that laughter produces a far more powerful energy than fear.

In Finding Nemo, Marin crosses the ocean with Dory to find her son, who has been captured by a diver. The illustrated mirror and cord evoke their journey through the reefs, ocean currents and dangers of the underwater world.

*WALL-E* features a small robot tasked with cleaning up an abandoned Earth. The boot containing a young sprout becomes a symbol of life’s potential return to the planet, whilst WALL-E embarks on a space journey alongside the robot EVE.

Finally, The Incredibles follows a family of superheroes forced to conceal their powers before returning to action. Their black, orange and yellow emblem appears on the socks and keyring in the set, reminding us that their true strength lies as much in their extraordinary abilities as in their family unity.
