Meet Akane Tendo alongside the adorable P-Chan with this Funko POP! Animation No. 2544 figurine inspired by Ranma 1/2. This figure brings together the young heiress of the Tendo dojo and the little black pig she is particularly fond of, in a scene that directly references one of the series’ recurring situations. The figure stands approximately 9.7 cm tall.

The figure depicts Akane with her short, dark blue hair, her eyes closed in a smiling expression, wearing a mauve dress over a light-coloured top. She is holding P-Chan in her arms, recognisable by his black coat, little pink snout and bandana. Origin and character background (Lore)

Akane Tendo is the youngest of Soun Tendo’s three daughters and the heir to the Tendo dojo. A first-year student at Furinkan High School, she possesses excellent physical abilities and a genuine talent for martial arts. Her father and Genma Saotome have decided to betroth her to Ranma Saotome in order to ensure the continuity of their martial arts school. Whilst Ranma and Akane spend much of their time teasing and arguing with one another, their relationship also regularly reveals genuine affection.

P-Chan is actually Ryoga Hibiki, Ranma’s former classmate and rival. After following Ranma to China, Ryoga falls into the Spring of the Drowned Black Pig in Jusenkyo. Ever since that accident, cold water transforms him into a little black pig, whilst hot water allows him to regain his human form.

Akane meets the little pig without knowing his true identity and quickly grows fond of him, calling him P-Chan. The situation becomes all the more comical as Ryoga himself harbours feelings for Akane, whilst she remains unaware for a long time that her little companion and Ranma’s rival are one and the same person. P-Chan thus regularly finds himself caught up in absurd situations, even becoming the centre of a martial skating showdown.

This POP! No. 2544 captures this iconic relationship perfectly, depicting Akane holding P-Chan close to her – a scene that perfectly sums up one of the most characteristic misunderstandings in *Ranma ½*.
