RANMA 1/2 - POP Animation N° 2027 - Akane

This collectable vinyl figurine depicts the character Akane Tendo, released by Funko as part of its Pop! Animation collection under official licence from Ranma 1/2. Made entirely from PVC, it faithfully reproduces the visual features of the young martial arts practitioner.

Akane Tendo (Aline in the French version) is one of the main characters in the manga and anime series Ranma ½, created by the mangaka Rumiko Takahashi. The youngest of Soun Tendo’s three daughters, she is a determined martial arts practitioner, destined by her family to marry Ranma Saotome in order to ensure the succession of the family dojo. The plot centres on the tumultuous relationship between the two fiancés, as well as Ranma’s peculiar ability to transform into a girl upon contact with cold water as a result of a curse. Akane finds herself at the centre of the romantic misunderstandings and recurring martial arts showdowns that characterise this action comedy.
