History and background of the model
The Billy puppet character was created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell for the first film in the Saw franchise, released in 2004. Used by the Jigsaw Killer (Jigsaw / John Kramer), this frightening ventriloquist with a white face, cheeks adorned with red spirals and dark eyes serves as an intermediary to deliver the sadistic rules of his "games" to his victims.
