Origin and background of the character
Takeda Shingen was a major figure of the Sengoku period, a time of conflict and rivalry between clans in feudal Japan. Lord of the province of Kai, he is renowned for his strategic prowess, his military authority and his opposition to other prominent figures of the period, notably Uesugi Kenshin.
His nickname, the “Tiger of Kai”, reflects his reputation as a powerful, methodical and feared leader on the battlefield. The motto associated with his armies, inspired by the art of war, evokes the idea of being swift as the wind, silent as the forest, fierce as fire and still as a mountain.
The Sengoku G Series reimagines this historical figure in a stylised, collectable form. Rather than a strictly realistic reproduction, the figurine offers a modern action figure interpretation, combining historical references, spectacular armour design and display accessories.
