Character background and lore

Rimuru Tempest is the protagonist of *That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime* (*Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken*). Originally, he was Satoru Mikami, a Japanese office worker who, after his death, is reincarnated into a fantasy world in the unexpected form of a slime.

Despite this unassuming appearance, Rimuru quickly acquires extraordinary abilities, notably the power to absorb creatures and assimilate some of their skills. His intelligence and powers gradually enable him to become a major figure in this new world.

Following his encounter with the dragon Veldora, Rimuru begins building a community designed to bring together different races of monsters. This initiative gives rise to the nation of Tempest, of which he becomes the ruler and protector.

His appearance as a blue slime remains, however, one of the character’s most iconic representations. This 26 cm Super Big Plush accurately recreates this simple and endearing form, which has become one of the series’ most recognisable visual symbols.
