ORIGIN AND CHARACTER BACKSTORY (LORE)
Introduced by Disney Studios in 2002 in the eponymous animated feature film, Stitch (originally known as Experiment 626) is an alien creature genetically modified by the mad scientist Jumba Jookiba. Initially designed to be indestructible, hyper-intelligent and programmed to wreak havoc, he escapes to Earth and lands on the island of Kauai, in Hawaii. His encounter with the young orphan Lilo introduces him to the concept of ‘Ohana’, which states that no one should be left behind or forgotten. This relationship transforms his destructive nature into a protective one, making him a central and recurring figure in the Disney universe.
