The story, so appreciated by manga fans, has been brilliantly received, resulting in an anime adaptation produced by the studio Bones and is already scheduled for a sixth season announced for 2022. In addition to this, three animated films have been released since 2018 until 2021.

A superhero story like never seen before!
The story takes place in a world where 80% of the world's population has superpowers called "alters". Some want to live a normal life, others use their superpowers to commit crimes! This has given rise to an unusual profession, that of superhero. Their aim is to protect the population from criminals by using their powers. Those wishing to do this job must go to the heroes' academy in order to be trained to control their power perfectly and to hold a permit to use them in the city to save the victims of possible crime and to defeat the bandits.
A protagonist with an iron will!
In this world, we discover the character of Izuku Midoriya, a young boy who is part of the 20% of the population that has not received an alter. In spite of everything, young Izuku does not let himself be defeated and intends to become the number one superhero! To do so, he wants to join the superheroic course at the great Yuei Academy.
When Izuku meets his idol, All Might, the current number one superhero, his determination is further confirmed and his goal becomes very clear to him, he will be a superhero! All Might, seeing the young man's determination, cannot help but confide in him his secret: his power can be transmitted. So he sees Izuku as his successor and decides to bequeath his incredible power to him: the One For All. Izuku must now learn to control an alter that he has never learned to manage before, in order to enter the academy in the hope of one day becoming the greatest superhero of all time.
Complex and engaging characters
Izuku Midoriya was the childhood friend of Katsuki Bakugo, nicknamed "Katchan". However, when Katchan's powers reveal themselves to him, and he realizes that Izuku, nicknamed Deku, has no powers, a more conflicting relationship between the two boys is born, culminating in Deku's daily harassment.
Katchan also wants to become the best superhero of his time and is equally amazed by All Might, the number one hero, who is known for saving lives with a smile on his face. A rivalry gradually develops between the two boys, one wanting to assert his position as a prodigy from childhood and become number one, the other desperate to prove himself and fulfil his dream of being the first superhero of their generation.

My Hero Academia is a real tribute to the American superheroes of which the author, Kohei Horikoshi, is an undisputed fan. The manga skilfully blends the codes of manga with those of American comics to produce a highly original work, centred on characters with complex stories and extremely engaging personalities.
