Origin and character’s universe
Released in 2008 by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, the science-fiction masterpiece Wall-E is set in the year 2805 on a Earth that has become completely deserted, toxic and submerged in the waste of human overconsumption. Humanity has fled aboard the gigantic spaceship Axiom, entrusting the clean-up of the planet to an army of compactor robots. Centuries later, only a small robot named WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter: Earth-Class) is still operational. Having developed a conscience and a strong personality, he collects unusual objects and suffers from loneliness. His life is turned upside down by the arrival of EVE (Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator), a high-tech evaluation probe sent to search for signs of plant life. Madly in love, Wall-E follows her across the galaxy on a touching adventure that will determine the fate and return of the entire human race to its home planet.
