Origin and character’s universe
The Runner Alien (or Dog Alien) character appears in the third instalment of the famous science-fiction and horror film series *Alien*, released in cinemas in 1992. The plot is set on the prison planet Fiorina 161 and follows Ellen Ripley’s desperate struggle against a new form of parasitic organism. Unlike traditional xenomorphs born from human hosts, the Runner develops inside an animal (a dog or a cow, depending on the edit), thereby inheriting extraordinary agility, a quadrupedal posture and lightning-fast movement. This specific figurine pays homage to the creature’s terrifying biology by applying a black light finish. Its contrasting neon colours highlight the details of its elongated skull, acrobatic tail and retractable jaw, creating a striking effect for fans of horror films and pop culture.
