Origin and character’s world

Directly inspired by the 1986 animated masterpiece*An American Tail* directed by Don Bluth, this figurine depicts the eldest of the Mousekewitz siblings, Tanya. A young, optimistic, dreamy mouse with a beautiful voice, she flees the pogroms of Russia with her parents and her little brother Fievel in the hope of finding a better life in New York, where ‘there are no cats’. Separated from her brother during a terrible storm at sea, she remains firmly convinced that he is alive despite the prevailing despair, embodying her family’s faith and perseverance.

This Funko Pop! version captures her childlike silhouette, her large expressive eyes, her traditional textured dress and her famous purple scarf tied around her head with great graphic fidelity.
