Character background and universe (Lore)

Sam Wilson is a former soldier and social worker who joins the Avengers as the Falcon. Thanks to his high-tech gear and mechanical wings, he becomes a particularly agile aerial fighter, capable of assisting Captain America on numerous missions.

Following Steve Rogers’ retirement, Sam inherits his famous shield and gradually comes to accept the role of Captain America. He thus becomes the new symbol of the values upheld by the Avengers, whilst retaining his own vision of justice, courage and responsibility.

In *Avengers: Doomsday*, Sam Wilson must fully embrace his role as leader after reforming the Avengers. He finds himself facing a threat of unprecedented scale involving the imminent collision of several universes.
