The mysterious Shadowheartjoins Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid collection. Inspired by the role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3, this articulated figurine depicts the half-elf priestess in a chibi style, complete with her dark armour, long plait and the iconic details of her in-game appearance.

Standing approximately 10 cm tall, the figure features multiple points of articulation and interchangeable parts. Its compact size allows you to recreate various scenes of exploration, dialogue or combat whilst retaining the distinctive aesthetic of the Nendoroid range.

Shadowheart comes with three interchangeable faces: a serious expression, a smile and a menacing glare. These different elements allow you to portray both her reserved personality and her sometimes ironic or disapproving reactions to the group’s decisions.

Her accessories include Séluné’s Spear of the Night, the mysterious artefact she carries at the start of the adventure, and an effect sheet bearing the message ‘Shadowheart disapproves’. Other optional parts are also included to allow for a variety of poses and interactions.

A base with an articulated arm is included with the figurine to ensure its stability whilst on display.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a role-playing game developed by Larian Studios and set in the Forgotten Realms universe of Dungeons & Dragons. The story begins when several adventurers are captured by mind flayers and infected with an illithid parasite. To prevent their transformation and understand the creature’s unusual power, they must journey together across the Sword Coast.

Shadowheart is a half-elf priestess of Shar, the goddess of darkness, loss and oblivion. Before the adventure begins, she agrees to have her memories erased in order to fulfil a sacred mission for her order. She must transport a mysterious artefact, stolen from the Githyanki, to Baldur’s Gate, without knowing all the details of her own mission.

Reserved and wary, Shadowheart conceals her religious affiliation for a long time and is reluctant to speak of her past. However, she possesses a more compassionate nature than her devotion to Shar might suggest. Her reactions to the player’s decisions may gradually reveal the contradictions between her beliefs, her fragmented memories and her true personality.

Her story is closely linked to the conflict between Shar and her twin sister Séluné, goddess of the moon. Throughout the adventure, Shadowheart faces several major choices that could alter her faith, her appearance and her future. The Spear of the Night included with this Nendoroid directly evokes this pivotal part of her journey.

The artefact she carries also plays a vital role in the plot. Capable of temporarily protecting the group from the Absolute’s influence, it attracts the attention of several factions and brings Shadowheart closer to the other infected companions.

This Nendoroid thus depicts Shadowheart with several iconic elements from her story: her stern expression, the artefact at the heart of her mission, and the Spear of Night, which symbolises her inner conflict between Shar and Selune.
