BATMAN 66 - POP VHS Cover N° 24 - Batman

This collector's box set from the POP! VHS Cover range celebrates the Dark Knight through the nostalgic aesthetic of video editions from years gone by.

The central element is a large, protective transparent acrylic case. It contains a high-definition printed replica of the original VHS cover of the classic TV series. Directly in front of this retro background is a full-size vinyl figure of Batman. The model adopts the kitsch and colourful visual identity of the hero of the time, dressed in his grey cloth suit, blue cape, matching mask with drawn-on eyebrows and bright yellow utility belt. The figurine is firmly attached to the base of the display case to ensure perfect stability and preserve the setting.

Destined to become a centrepiece for display on a shelf, desk or in a showcase, this set is designed to be displayed closed to protect the illustration from dust. Notches on the back also allow for wall mounting.

Broadcast from 1966 onwards on the ABC network, the Batman TV series, starring Adam West in the title role and Burt Ward as Robin, had a profound effect on the history of television and pop culture. Far removed from the dark, dramatic atmosphere of modern film adaptations, this cult version was characterised by its deliberately parodic comic tone, its pop aesthetic and its famous graphic onomatopoeia during fights ("POW!", "BAM!"). This boxed set commemorates the 60th anniversary of this legendary television production, which transformed the Gotham City vigilante into a colourful international comic-book icon.
