Origin and character background (Lore)

Mukuro Hoshimiya is a Spirit discovered whilst drifting alone through space. Recognisable by her golden eyes and exceptionally long hair, she has long been shrouded in mystery, particularly regarding the circumstances that led her to live far from Earth. Her power is considerable, as she has proven capable of repelling the forces of DEM Industries with ease.

Her Angel, Michael, takes the form of a large key capable of locking or unlocking various properties. In particular, Mukuro can seal away abilities, memories or certain phenomena, making her one of the most dangerous Spirits encountered by Shido Itsuka. Behind her aloof demeanour, however, lies a deep-seated fear of abandonment, which lies at the heart of her development in *Date A Live*.
