Origin and universe of the character (Lore)
Created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist Rob Liefeld in 1991, Deadpool is a mercenary in the Marvel Comics universe renowned for his cynical humour, fighting skills and propensity to break the fourth wall by speaking directly to the public.
