Origin and background of the character
Created by manga artist Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is set in a dark, fantastical world during the Taishō era, centred on the battle between demon slayers and man-eating demons. Chachamaru is a small, highly intelligent calico cat belonging to the demon doctor Tamayo and her faithful assistant Yushiro. Having been transformed into a demon herself by Tamayo to save her from certain death, Chachamaru plays a crucial role as a messenger and laboratory assistant. Wearing a small concealment talisman designed by Yushiro around her neck, she ventures into the most perilous battlefields to collect blood samples from powerful demons, which Tanjiro needs to synthesise an antidote. This Funko Pop! figurine tenderly captures the unique features and significance of this heroic feline, making it a real must-have for all fans of the franchise.
