Standing approximately 14 cm tall, this official figurine depicts the young demon slayer crouching, his hand resting on his sword and his body poised to unleash a lightning-fast attack inspired by the Breath of Lightning.

In contrast to his usually anxious and restless demeanour, Zenitsu here displays a serious and focused expression. His very low centre of gravity, heavily bent legs and forward-leaning torso evoke the moment just before a sudden burst of speed. This compact composition allows the figurine to convey a strong sense of tension despite its relatively small size.

The sculpture captures his orange-yellow hair with its geometric tips, as well as his dark Slayer uniform. His yellow haori, decorated with small white triangles, flares out widely around his body, creating a sense of movement reminiscent of the flashes of lightning that accompany his techniques. Visible marks on his face and clothing heighten the dramatic intensity of the scene.

His Nichirin sword remains partially sheathed, as Zenitsu assumes the characteristic stance of a rapid draw technique. The folds of his clothing, the raised edges of his haori and the orientation of his silhouette naturally draw the eye forwards, as if the character were about to vanish in a flash of lightning.

Character background and lore

Zenitsu Agatsuma joined the Demon Slayer Corps during the same final selection process as Tanjiro Kamado. He possesses exceptionally keen hearing, which allows him to distinguish between the sounds made by humans and demons, perceive their emotions and sometimes detect danger even before he sees it.

Despite his abilities, Zenitsu suffers from a severe lack of self-confidence. He is often pessimistic, loud and paralysed by fear when faced with a demon. However, when his terror becomes too intense, he loses consciousness and enters a sleep-like state. His personality then changes radically: his mind becomes calm, his movements precise, and his fighting instinct takes control.

Zenitsu was trained by Jigoro Kuwajima, the former Lightning Pillar. He has only managed to master the First Form of the Breath of Lightning, known as the Lightning Strike. Rather than viewing this limitation as a weakness, his master encourages him to perfect this single technique to an exceptional level.

This attack relies on a draw followed by an extremely rapid burst of speed. Zenitsu concentrates his strength in his legs before closing the distance between himself and his opponent in a fraction of a second. He then developed several variations capable of chaining together these bursts of speed or significantly increasing their power.

The pose chosen for this figurine directly evokes the build-up to this technique. With his body lowered, his hand close to the hilt and his haori thrown back, it looks as though Zenitsu is still holding back his momentum before unleashing his full speed in a single sword strike.
