Character background and lore

Tic, known as Chip in the original version, forms one of Disney’s most famous comic duos alongside Tac (Dale). The two chipmunks appear regularly in short films featuring Donald Duck or Pluto, amongst others, where their antics lead to numerous chaotic situations.

Chip is generally portrayed as the more thoughtful and organised member of the duo. He is recognisable by his small black nose and slightly more serious demeanour, whilst Dale has a red nose and a more carefree temperament.

The duo have gradually come to play a significant role in the Disney universe, eventually becoming the heroes of their own adventures, notably in the animated series*Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers*.
