Elemental — POP! Disney No. 1791 Flam with Vivisteria flower

Brighten up your Disney and Pixar collection with this POP! Disney No. 1791 figurine featuring Flam, known as Ember Lumen in the original version of the film *Elemental*. Designed by Funko, it depicts the young fire woman delicately holding a Vivisteria flower, an important symbol of her relationship with Flack and her discovery of the world beyond the Fire District.

Flam is distinguished by her translucent body in shades of red, orange and yellow. The top of her head rises in several irregular spikes that evoke constantly flickering flames. This luminous gradient gives the figurine the appearance of a living fire whilst retaining the rounded proportions characteristic of the POP! range.

Her face wears a calm and attentive expression, with large black eyes surrounded by orange detailing. The darker outlines around her eyebrows and cheeks accentuate the warmth of her appearance and help her features stand out despite the character’s flamboyant nature.

The figurine wears a dark dress with colourful geometric patterns, inspired by her family’s traditional clothing. The various red, orange and purple shapes decorating the fabric contrast with her luminous body and echo the visual identity of the Fire District in Element City.

Flam holds a Vivisteria flower in her hands. This rare plant can grow in a wide variety of environments and holds special significance in the film. Its presence transforms this POP! into a more narrative representation of the character and highlights her curiosity, her sensitivity and the bond she forms with Flack.

Made from vinyl, the figurine stands approximately 12.7 cm tall. It comes in an illustrated window box bearing the number 1791 and can be paired with the POP! Flack No. 1792 to bring together the two protagonistsof Elemental.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Elementary is set in Element City, a metropolis inhabited by beings made of fire, water, earth and air. Although the different communities share the same city, their physical properties and traditions sometimes make it difficult for them to live together.

Flam Lumen is the daughter of Cinder and Bernie Lumen, two fire elements who left their homeland to build a new life in Element City. Her parents run a shop in the Fire District and hope that their daughter will one day take over the family business.

Flam works alongside her father and is constantly striving to prove to him that she is capable of running the business. However, she has a fiery temper and finds it difficult to control her anger when faced with demanding customers. These outbursts of frustration literally cause the intensity of her flames to rise.

Her encounter with Flack, a municipal inspector made of water, gradually shakes her certainties. Everything seems to set them apart: their physical nature, their personalities and their upbringings. Flam tries to contain her emotions and live up to her family’s expectations, whilst Flack expresses his openly and encourages her to recognise her true aspirations. Pixar’s official story centres on this unexpected relationship between a young woman of fire and a man of water who discover they have more in common than they ever imagined.

Flam gradually realises that her talent extends beyond running the shop. Her skill in working with glass reveals a creativity she had never considered turning into a career. She must then choose between the path laid out for her by her parents and the one she truly wishes to follow.

The Vivisteria holds symbolic significance in this journey. Flam had dreamt of seeing this flower since childhood, but she had been denied access to the exhibition because the fire-based elements were considered dangerous. Flack eventually helps her to get close to the plant underwater, in a scene that illustrates his desire to help her discover possibilities she believed were out of reach.

This POP! figure therefore depicts Flam at a moment that is more intimate than spectacular. The flower held in her hands evokes her relationship with Flack, but also her gradual openness to new experiences and to a life chosen according to her own aspirations.
